Vegetables have always been the base of a healthy, well-balanced nourishment.
In our tradition the kitchen-garden, with its scented, delicious greens, has had a fundamental role, as it was the source of some of the essential nourishment of the home consumption. All over the centuries kitchen-gardens were so important, that laws forbidding taxation on their products were issued. A kitchen-garden is the mirror of the soul of those who cultivate it, and it can be seen also as an interior space and as an expression of imagination and creativeness.
People say that the best of a kitchen-garden lies in the fact that it is never without fruit. Even in the late Autumn and in Winter. Even when days become short, foggy and often rainy.
In the kitchen-gardens of the Mantuan farmers, today just like in the past, you can find the most disparate species and varieties as it concerns shape, colour and size: seasonal greens, fresh and with irreplaceable tastes, and, which is more, produced near your home.
