The Mantuan territory has always been the favourite destination of fishing lovers, who, properly licensed, find several water courses, with such different characteristics to satisfy different needs, as well as small lakes, quarries and stretches of water managed by private people.
Every year fishers from all over Europe, especially from Northern countries, come over appealed by our waters, especially famous for carp-fishing and sheatfish fishing.
Some of the species that can be fished in our lakes, rivers and channels are: barbel, pike, pikeperch, perch, largemouth bass, tench, carp, catfish, sheatfish, eel, chub, Danube roach, brown trout, bleak, sturgeon, bass, sunfish, crucian, rudd.
Our farms are often near the main water courses and competition fields, so they are the ideal lodgings for fishers who look for comfortable rooms without spreading a fortune.
The fishers love being welcomed by the farmers, who are used to wake up early and will be willing to prepare an early morning breakfast!
