The farm "Corte Restara" is well renowned for its wines, cereals and vegetables. It lies in the Golena, an area of about 500 hectares between Sustinente and Serravalle along the Po river (specifically, “Restara” means all areas not protected by the main embankment from the river floods). In several areas of the Restara, excellent red wines are grown following age-old traditions.
Wine and raisin wine productions have been reported in several documents since the beginning of the 17th century together with the first information about the Villa that has been always property of the Mantuan family Guerrieri-Gonzaga. The family still lives in the Villa and directly conducts the farm maintaining traditions but keeping always an eye to the future innovations in order to respect the environment
The farm reflects several changes occurred during time: it became famous during the 30’s as a stud farm, then during the early 50’s and 60’s it has been one of the first Italian cattle farm, while during the 80’s and 90’s several vegetables and mushrooms were grown here. More recently the farm holiday, with the most high standards, came along with the increased production of wine and cereals. The family is still involved in all the activities.
Corte Restara lies in the eastern part of the Po valley, centrally placed among the most beautiful cities of North-eastern Italy which are well known for their artistic and cultural attractionsas well as for its food tradition. You can easily reach Mantua, Verona, Ferrara, Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Parma in less than one hour drive. In the nearby area (Sacchetta - 1,5 km) there is the mooring for the motorship on the river Po and on mantuan lakes. On June it is possible to see Pavia-Vicenza navigation.

Shop. Opening time: everyday from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Note: the transformation of the products is carried out on the farm.
