Corte Donda
The farm holiday, close to the art city Mantua and place on the Po river banks, was named after an ancient owner of the building, Donda.
But "Corte Donda" fascination is not only its geografical position: the furnishing and the atmosphere of the house let its guest do a real "backwards jump" in the past time.
The court is set on a land of 4 hectares, near to a vineyeard, from which is made red wine "Donda", the pride of the farm. They cultivate vegetables and fruits, for jams, sauces and mostarda.
It is also important to mention the cuisine. Every day at the table there are the best of mantuan dishes. The old restored cattleshed was changed into a dining room with a beautiful fireplace.
Here you can taste typical dishes: starters with pork salami and polenta, cheeses with mostarda, agnoli, tagliatelle with hare sauce, bread and duck meat, guinea-fowl, turkey.
As a dessert, they serve jam tarts prepared with jams prepared directly in the far, holiday.
The farmhouse offers staying in rooms with private services. Each room has panoramic view on the vast surronding country.
