It was a designed by Leon Battista Alberti and built by Luca Fancelli. The first design of the church was completely changed owing to a restoration in the early years of the XXth century.
A fresco by Andrea Mantegna on the façade is in very bad condition now. Its interior is on a Greek cross plan. The XVIth century altar is surrounded by 4 Tuscan columns.
Opening time: from 15th March to 15th November, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Exstraordinary opening: Easter Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
