In 1515 Federico II Gonzaga commissioned Giulio Romano to build the magnificent Palazzo Te with its architectural and pictorial beauties designed for the prince and his court to serve as a place of leisure and relaxation.
The Room of the Giants, the Horse Room and Psyche Room are the most important rooms of the palace. Inside the building you can see the Municipal Museum which includes the `Arnaldo Mondadori` Donation, the G.Acerbi` Egyptian collection, the Sissa Mesopotamian collection and the Gonzaga collection.
Timetable: opening time: from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.. Easter Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The ticket office closes at 5:30 p.m..

Price: admission ticket: € 8;
Reduced tickets: € 5.50 for people who live in the Province of Mantua and who are over 60, as well as for people who can benefit from previous agreements; a free ticket is available for every group of 20 people.
Students from 12 to 18: € 2.50 with a free ticket for every group of 15 students.
Group of 20 people at least: € 4.50; a free ticket is available each 20 people.
For children under 12: free admission.
Tour to the collections only: € 2.50, €1 for students
Visit: there are no guided tours.
At the ticket office you can pay for an audioguide in Italian, French, English, German, Spanish, and Japanese.
